BUSY BACKDROP DAY!

MONDAY (2.2.09)
I was assigned by Northwind for a banner that sized 24 ft x 10 ft big for MGA event last monday. And as usual, I always make sure that the banner is ready 2 or 3 days before the event and yes, i picked up the banner on last friday.

FRIDAY (6.2.09)
"uncle, semua okay eh? manayk besar la.. tak bole bukak check.. kedai u kecik lagi pun" i said..

"ok ok.. semua ok! jangan lupa kasik settle itu payment ah?" said the uncle..

so okay then. I just paid the rest of the payment at the counter and some of the staff helped me to put in the banner inside my car.. without realizing the danger that I'm facing, I just let the banner at the hall of my house..

SUNDAY (8.2.09)
Kak Wati from Northwind called me in the afternoon and said..

"Adib, please be at the hotel around 9 yah, nak pasang banner tu" she said.

"Alrite!!" i replied.

I just came back from makan-makan with friends and Ana's family later that afternoon. So i rushed home as my invoice for the payment is not ready yet. Agak menggelabah di situ. Luckily my friend Kamarul worked nearby at ss4 helped me to print them. So i fetch Naim Zam and Ramon to help me with the delivery.

As i arrived, all the people at the banquet smile! proudly that i have the thing ready on time. Aku pun turut bangga jugak dan dengan bangganya jugak.. I scrolled the banner down on top of the structure and found this!......

I started to sweat..
I started tu crumble..
I started to just feel like running away from this damages..

DAMN YOU UNCLE!!!! can't u just make things right? dah macam kuih lapis dah kaler banner aku!! arghhhhhh!!! tensionnya!!!!!!!!!!

So i calmed down after several minutes battling with my unstable emotions.. Kak Wati said

"Kita kena print baru jugak dib. Kalau tak, habis nama company.. Habis nama you.." calmly..

"Yes Adib, you kena print baru jugak. There is no way we are goint to hang this banner up." said Uncle Lan who was one of the project manager.

We all vigourously scroll down our phonebooks, try to search for printers and luckily Kak Wati found one.. DESIGN REVIEW SDN BHD. It is located at Sri Damansara. Near Puchong.. damn.. that's far!

Nak taknak kena la buat jugak kan.. There, i met this one Bangladeshi named Nasir. He is the designer and the coolie at the same time.. He lives there, in a room with another 15 other workers. Damn!

But he is such a lifesaver! :)

After nearly 3 hours waiting for the banner to print, we (me and Naim) rushed to the Impiana Hotel KL and deliver the brand new banner.

And everyone lives happily ever after! :)

It all begin after Zam told me that Naim had promised him for an Ayam Penyet treat after Zam's minor facial surgery. So I told Naim about this and he said let's go! At the same time, Tim and Ramon wanted to meet again sbb takut rindu.. hahahah!

As a conclusion, we are all satisfied!

when i COOK!....

Hmm.. today i feel like cooking.. went to the fridge and try to figure out any idea about what i want to eat.. luckily my mum went to the market recently and i saw fresh veges and onions on the rack.

My hands started to itch and my eyes wildly looking for the right knife and pans. So i cook.

There are veges and loads of fishcakes and i found extra mee hoon at the store so i decided to cook vege mee hoon and fried sawi with fish cakes! So here is the final product!

Jalan-jalan KL with my Ana

It's like a week after ibu (ana's mom) passed away, and after been showered with mourns and sadness covering her over and out, I come out with an idea to go for a roam around KL. Regarding Farah's wedding is just around the corner, it's such a good day to find my shirt and ana's scarf for the reception. So here we go.

After Aneem and Apis's wedding the other day, Ana told me that ibu's condition is not quite good (regarding ibu's cancer) . In other word; crucial. That is why she was not at the wedding. So I said to her, insyaALLAH she will be fine..

On Sunday afternoon, approximately 5.00 pm, Ana told me that ibu got warded again, because of breath difficulties. Pneumonia she said. I was worried and my hearts keep feeling uneasy and I am so tense.

Later that night, while I'm on my way doing my presentation for the next monday (around 12.30am) Ana called and she said ibu cannot be saved.

I was stunned. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . ..................................


Long story short, ibu had her last breath around 4.30 am; monday. (I cried my heart out and tears continously running all over my face) my ana? . . . . . . . . . . . . ...........

Motherly, loving, forgiving, etc etc.. too much to list down to describe ibu's personality. Even i called her ibu sometimes eventhough I'm not married to Ana yet. But one thing for sure.. she will be missed forever and ever.

ANEEM & APIS WED | 17 JANUARY 2009 | KINRARA

17th January 2009 - be wed a long time loving couple; tied the knot last Saturday at the bride's side at Bukit Kinrara, Puchong. Nurazeela (Aneem) who is a long time friend of mine married to her chosen one Hafiz (apis aka fish) also a friend of mine after several years being together. As far as I know, they met during their studies at UiTM shah alam and both doing art and design.

Here are some pictures that I shot during their outdoor photosession. Ben and Apek were also there giving their very best shot for this newly wed couple.

An excellent built 23 year old guy who had the ability to make an impact in one's life even just after one small conversation.. who loved helping people around him.. who was kind-hearted, humorous and entertaining, big and protective, and my band mate a long time ago . Zaliff Zainal a.k.a. Zalep, you will always be remembered bro. al-Fatihah.

SELAMAT HARI RAYA AIDILADHA

I was just got back from the mosque nearby my house. It is in conjunction of Hari Raya Aidiladha and four cows were sacrificed this year. When i reached slaughtering site, I saw Naim was there and that was quite a surprise since he always "sembahyang baring" at time like this. I went back home after I cut some parts of the cow. Damn it was quite tiring..

While i was relaxing, strecthing my veins, I was thinking of having a Raya Korban poster to express my experience today.. So there you have it.. A special greeting card from thrace!

OH CHENTAKU europe release!

This so called Europe-release ep is to be spread all around Europe during Myo from Oh Chentaku tour promoting the band. Very limited!

It took me 10 minutes to design the inlay as Myo keep bugging me with tonnes of e-mails and messages in myspace and facebook. Luckily he was online and I immediately design one and pass to him.

Old school broadway is my concept for this one. I designed the inly to make it very stylish look and classic plus to create certain mood on it.

Nabila is one of my best friend years back and still counting till today. She used to help me during my no-transport and no-money years and often hang out together. And I think it's about time to pay her back!

I was told by her friend that she wants to open a vintage clothing boutique with her lovely business partner Shakira. And she was kinda desperate to look for designer. After several discussions and arguments, I come out with a very vintage-indie-playful-ish design for them.

Few days after I finished their corporates, they called me back for a special assignment. They want some mural paintings as their boutique is quite huge and spacious. So I come with a design that resembles the boutique as fun and vintage!
